Here are some Radar2004 screenshots, including blow-ups of the radar itself, with some descriptions highlighting the radar features.
Onslaught
- The radar is zoomed in and shows two power nodes, one controlled by the red team and one controlled by the blue team.
- The blue base has a down arrow, indicating it's below the player (the player icons get similar arrows when above or below).
- The gold ring around the red power node indicates that it is under attack.
- In this screenshot the player, rather than the radar, is rotating. This helps align the power nodes with those in the normal Onslaught radar, but most people prefer the "player always faces up" mode, even in Onslaught.
- Note players also show up in the Onslaught radar.

Assault
- This is the beginning of the Glacier level. The three current assault objectives are purple surrounded by gold. The radar is zoomed in to focus on the immediate battle.

Capture the Flag
- The red and blue flags are red and blue rings that surround a player or base.
- The blue flag is still at the blue base.
- A blue player has the red flag and is trying to get it home.
- Most of the small dots are color-coded pickups; the faint yellow ones near the red flag holder are projectiles. It's pretty easy to distinguish them while playing, as the pickups stay still and the shots move pretty fast.

Bombing Run
- The bomb is a gold ring, and can surround the spawn point or a player.
- The bomb spawn point is the gold base, while the red and blue goals are the red and blue bases.
- In this screenshot, a red player has the ball in blue territory. Not likely to make it, given that he's surrounded by blue players.
- Pickups have been turned off in this screenshot; which is why there are no "little dots". Projectiles, though, will still show up in this mode.

Mutant
- In Mutant, the mutant is purple and the bottom feeder is green. Everybody else is red, which is normal for a regular Deathmatch game.
